THE BIKANER NEWS:-IIT Kharagpur is accepting applications for the first round of Young Innovator Programme. The I to register is December 12, 2024. This is the sixth edition of the programme, which aims to inculc scientific temper in young minds. The competition welcomes students currently enrolled in class 8 to 12. Top teams nationwide will selected after the first round which will be held in online mode and they will be called to Ind Institute of Technology, Kharagpur to exhibit and demonstrate their models or prototype and cha which will be evaluated by professors of the institute. YIP has drawn praise from luminaries worldwide, including the former President of India, S Ramnath Kovind, who lauded the initiative for fostering scientific temper and empowering youth think critically. With over 3,000 entries in 2023, YIP continues inspire young minds globally. For participation, the principal of the school needs to nominate a coordinating teacher for programme. The teacher will be given a user ID and password for registration of the students. students need to form a team of two to three members and submit their name and details to coordinating teacher of the school. Round one submission starts with the team submitting their abstract of the project ideas brief the scientific proposal based on the chosen theme. Round one results will be released on website. All participants who make it to the next round will also receive the news via email. For the semifinals, top teams nationwide will be selected. The selected team need to confirm th presence for a three-day event held at IIT Kharagpur. The registration fees for this round will declared after the announcement of the results of the first round. The qualifying teams from the second round will enter the winners round. In this round each te will be given an opportunity to demonstrate their ideas in the form of a presentation followed b question and answer session.
